It appears we are finally approaching the unveiling of Nokia 9, the rumoured flagship Nokia Android device that has been making rounds on the internet.
This time, however, specifications for the upcoming Nokia 9 have surfaced online via benchmark tests. If these tests are any indication, the alleged Nokia 9 handset will reportedly perform better that current flagships from other companies.
As per reports, the upcoming Nokia flagship has been seen performing impressively in the benchmarks, projecting a powerful rival to the likes of Samsung Galaxy S8, iPhone 7, and other top-end handsets on the way.
According to the report, a device pegged as “HMD Global TA-1004” outperforms other flagship handsets in multi-core scores.
The listing also suggests that the Nokia 9 will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat and be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC, as well as pack 4GB of RAM. However, this doesn’t rule out a higher RAM version.
Even though the alleged Nokia 9 was able to acquire an impressive score in multi-core performance, it still appears to be way behind the iPhone 7 Plus handset, much like other Android devices, in terms of single-core performance.
In line with optics, the Nokia 9 is expected to come with a dual 13-megapixel camera at the back and have a dual-LED flash support as well.
The Nokia handset has been tipped to come with 64GB of internal storage. While the battery capacity is still yet to be revealed, the Nokia 9 is expected to support Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 thanks to the Snapdragon 835 SoC. What’s more, the Nokia device also seems to have a fingerprint scanner mounted into the home button at the front.
