The sales of HP’s Elite x3 Windows 10 Mobile smartphone in the US have been temporarily halted over camera issues, according to a new report. Microsoft’s retail stores are informing potential customers that the device won’t be available for purchase until mid-October.
“Just received confirmation at a Virginia Microsoft store that the elite x3 cannot be sold until October 11th,” WindowsCentral reported one of the tipsters as saying. “They are waiting for updates to fix camera issues, etc. They have them in stock but cannot sell them, unfortunately.”
HP’s official US website currently lists the device as ‘out of stock,” which is clearly inline with these user reports. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case with Microsoft’s online store, which is currently accepting pre-orders for the device, with the listing revealing a release date of September 26.
