Moto E4 Now Available Unlocked At $129.99, Verizon Prepaid Version As Cheap As $69.99

Motorola’s entry-level Moto E4 is now available for purchase at a dirt-cheap price of just $129.99, touting a two-day battery life on a single charge.

The smartphone initially launched as a Verizon exclusive last week, but the initial exclusivity was just for a short while and the Moto E4 is now available unlocked from both Motorola and Amazon.

Unlocked Moto E4 Price And Availability

Interested customers who want to get the Moto E4 at an even lower price can purchase it for $99.99 as a Prime Exclusive phone from Amazon, provided they don’t mind having ads on the lock screen. Otherwise, the ad-free unlocked version costs $129.99, which is still quite affordable.

At that price, the Moto E4 is obviously a low-end offering without any stellar specifications, but it should nonetheless deliver a decent performance on a budget. It offers a good value for money and it looks and feels good for its category.

Moto E4 Specs

The entry-level Moto E4 features a 5-inch display with an HD resolution (720p) and the unlocked model packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor under the hood, as opposed to the Snapdragon 427 processor powering the Sprint and Boost Mobile versions. The smartphone should be fast enough thanks to its 2 GB of RAM, and while the 16 GB of native storage space may fill up quickly, users can add up to 128 GB of extra storage via microSD.

Other specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a 5-megapixel front shooter that promises good photos even in low light conditions, a fingerprint scanner, and a removable 2,800 mAh battery that “can keep going for hours on a single charge,” according to Motorola. The smartphone also has a special nanocoating that protects it from splashes, spills, and light rain.

On the software side of things, the Moto E4 runs the very latest version of Android, boasting Android 7.1.1 Nougat right out of the box. The unlocked version of the Moto E4 works with all major carriers in the United States, so it will play nice with AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile.

Prepaid Moto E4 On Verizon

While the $129.99 price on Amazon and Motorola’s website is pretty affordable, however, Verizon has a better deal for the handset. Big Red is currently offering the Moto E4 at just $69.99 on its prepaid service, and it doesn’t include any ads on the lock screen or elsewhere. The prepaid Moto E4 on Verizon typically costs $199.99 so the deal marks a hefty discount, but there’s no mention of when it will expire.
